Could Possibly Be A Note To Me

While it is true that you have to give people a chance to love you, I have learned that you also have to give them a chance to decide whether or not they actually do.

It's a sad reality but no matter how kind we are or how genuine we are, there are just some people who would decide not to love us and you know that's okay.

But it's important to give them some breathing room to be able to decide that.

The right ones will come at the right time and there is only so much we can do. We can't force people to love us nor can we continually display how "great" or "bankable" we are.

Some things we just have to leave up to fate and trust that the ones for us will find their way to us–somehow.

Always good to be reminded

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back
But keeps going to the end.
